First published in 1926 as part of the Cambridge Plain Texts series this volume contains material from three medieval Spanish treatises on linguistics: El arte de trobar by Enrique de Villena (13841434); the second book of Gramtica castellana by Antonio de Lebrija (14441522); and the Arte de la poesa castellana by Juan del Encina (14691529). Texts are presented in the original Spanish with a short editorial introduction and bibliography in English. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in Spanish and the history of linguistics.
