Selenium and Silkworm

Most Asian countries have the tradition of using silk since more than two thousand years .This ancient and traditional industry should more than two thousand years. This ancient and traditional industry should therefore be nurtured carefully as when it enjoyed royal patronage in the past. It is a natural fiber and indeed the Queen of fabrics .While it cannot replace cotton it can become an important cash crop giving multiple income-four to five times from an acre of land in ten months out of twelve - to the farmer of the tropical area. Now a days silkworm nutrition is an important area many scientist are supplementing many natural as well as synthetic supplements for growth and vigour and consequently for quality and quantity silk production.
