Self Determination Movement in India's Northeast

SELF DETERMINATION MOVEMENT IN INDIA’S NORTHEAST: India is one of the most diverse nations in the world. People with diverse of socio cultural background and identities are living in this part of the world since time immemorial. However it has been a very difficult task on the part of the Government of India to create the spirit of national integration among all citizens of the country. As a result several movements were mushrooming in the country. There are many reasons to this development. Economic underdevelopment poverty unemployment and the emergence of the concept of self determination are few of these. This book focusses on the self determination movement in the Northeastern part of India.
