About The Book
Description
Author
Micro-finance programmes envisage increasing out reach of small financial services through Self Help Groups (SHGs) in general and women groups in particular. Since the SHG is a small and informal group of 10 to 20 persons drawn from relatively homogeneous background the members who join the groups know what benefits they would attain from the group through micro finance. Micro finance has to be utilized in such a way that it benefits the SHGs to improve the quality of life of their members and if properly implemented would lead to the increment in income by enhancing members productivity and ensuring timely repayments and adequate social monitoring. The SHGs need to firm up their financial and economic norms meant for selection of appropriate beneficiary and subsequent disbursement of credit to the needy. Hence there is a need of implementation of schemes for women empowerment which should reach them in proper manner so that the women empowerment will fulfil their aims and objects. Hope it will be helpful to the readers researchers and academicians purposefully.
