Self-Help Groups and Women Empowerment

SHGs are playing a vital role in the empowerment of women by mainstreaming from all the walks of life by getting awareness about their rights involving in the decision making process in the family and the community and more over improving their livelihood conditions in the society. It is hoped that this book shall be useful to all the academics of social sciences voluntary organisations in their evaluation programmes and field practiceners in Rural Tribal and Urban development programmes as well as the functionaries of State and Central Government Departments in the implementation of women welfare programmes.
