senior Artist—Fine Arts Practical Manual for Class-10 is based on art terminologies forall the four subjects of fine arts viz. Painting Graphics Sculpture and Applied Art—CommercialArt for the general enrichment of the students. This book is prepared with the aim to enable thestudents to:• Develop skill of using drawing and painting materials effectively• Sharpen their observation skills through study of common objects and various geometricaland non-geometrical forms found in life and nature• Develop their skills to draw and paint these observations• Help them understand a painting composition• Create the forms and the colour schemes in imagination with an ability to express themeffectively in drawing and painting• Express the different feelings and moods of life and nature in lines forms and coloursThis manual has mainly focused on practical syllabus of painting. To emphasise on Natureand Object Study and Painting Compositions units some additional paintings are given forpractice. These paintings are illustrated in three different styles i.e. only outline greyscale andin colour. A separate topic on Indian Folk Art Paintings is given which is the part of PortfolioAssessment in the practical exam.
