Sensors and Transducers

The purpose of this book is to explain and illustrate the use of sensors and transducers. The conversion by transducers of physical quantities into electronic signals and vice versa has become an important part of electronics. The concept of sensors and transducers and basic types of transducers are discussed are compared together in one chapter. Sensors are important factors in transducers, the thermal sensors and radition sensors that are discussed in second chapter. Later chapter examines another two types of transducer pressure transducer and level transducers. The final chapter gives a summary and classification of sound transducers and an introduction about light sensors and hall effect transducers.
