Sentinels at the Black Gate

<p>Sickness starvation and fighting have devastated humanity. One-third of the world's population has died. The strife ended when ancient aliens returned as they did after Earth's first ancient calamity. The Anunnaki revealed themselves as an ant-like humanoid race something different from what antiquity held. However they helped usher in a new age of reason with advanced technology global peace and coexistence.</p><p>During this new age the Anunnaki also disclosed the existence of a habitable planet near the galactic core of the Milky Way. Terranaki as it is named is not out of reach either thanks to the revelation of a wormhole in the Oort Cloud linking our solar system to the new planet's system. However strange anomalies hovering near the relativistic jets of the supermassive black hole (Sagittarius A*) have also been discovered. Evidence of the anomalies is quickly hidden and Earth galvanizes around the promise of space exploration and the colonization of Terranaki.</p><p>A human crew is selected to journey with the Anunnaki to the site of their next colony. What would humankind's first journey beyond the solar system be like? For some the journey will impact their very souls. Can the intrepid crew reach the wormhole and Terranaki? Or does something more sinister await them at the center of the galaxy?</p>
