Sex education in general studies

Sex education is an important contribution made by schools. Sex education is already taught in primary schools as part of general studies. This gives every child the opportunity to learn about this topic and acquire a wide range of skills. This book highlights the diversity of topics and objectives covered by sex education in schools. It also uses classroom observations and guided interviews with teachers from Lower Saxony to provide examples of current sex education in general studies. This highlights the positive aspects of teaching in this area while also identifying some aspects that could be improved and should be critically examined.
