Sex Lies and Toilet brushes tells the story of fame struck Lyn Griffiths; a young lady determined to one day be famous by whatever means necessary. She is on her way by car to Glasgow to take up a new job and looking forward to starting a new life away from her previous boyfriend and existing dull life. Also heading north is travelling salesman Jeff Grey who is also anxious to improve his life his wife is demanding a divorce and his boss wants rid of him. He is on his way to secure an order that could win his boss over if he is successful. They meet by chance enroute at 'The Boutique Hotel' both looking for the opportunity to turn their lives around with each trying desperately to impress the other. Their lies only lead to more lies but will their journeys end as they both hope? Will he fulfill the order and will she find the fame she seeks?
