SEXUALITY AND LEVEL OF DEPRESSION IN OLDER ADULTS

In the sexuality of older adults there are still attitudes that tend to reject or ignore the existence of sexual activity. On the other hand depression in this population is a topic with little controversy and interest on the part of researchers in the area of health and community in general so derived from the above the research work was proposed: Sexuality and level of depression in older adults of the senior club Los años maravillosos of Chilpancingo de los Bravo Guerrero. Objective: To identify the relationship between sexuality and the level of depression in older adults of the senior citizens' club Los años maravillosos of Chilpancingo de los Bravo Guerrero. Methodology: The study was quantitative non-experimental cross-sectional descriptive with a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience in 35 older adults. The evaluation scale of affective and sexual experiences of older adults-EVASI (divided into 3 dimensions 1. Sexual intercourse 2. Affective relationships and 3. SPSS version 21.0 statistical software with multiplatform operating system was used.
