Sganarelle or the SelfDeceived Husband

The play centers on the character of Sganarelle a man who is convinced that his wife is unfaithful despite having no real evidence to support his suspicions. His jealousy and self-deception lead to a series of humorous situations in which his overreactions and misguided attempts to assert control over his wife create chaos. The plot revolves around Sganarelle's attempt to catch his wife in the act of infidelity although she is entirely innocent.
