Shadow Chase: Mystery Suspense and Romance at a Hill Country Dude Ranch

Paula Wunderlich¡¯s predilection for taking the easy way out of problems evaporates when her absent husband Bruce writes to ask for a divorce. She and daughter Hope travel to Wunderland Dude Ranch in the Texas hill country in an effort to restore the family. Restoration is not easy. Something is terribly wrong at Wunderland. Bruce alternates between resenting her presence and making feeble efforts at reconciliation. Handsome wrangler Ike Ryan is initially hostile. Beautiful Annelise Sequeira¡¯s tentative offer of friendship is withdrawn when her neglected son Tully takes a shine to Paula. Wrangler Dean Skymore finds Paula amusing. Attorney Al Hines¡¯ arrival further complicates the picture.Paula¡¯s sole quest at Wunderland was to win back her husband. Instead she¡¯s embroiled in the mystery of a young girl¡¯s disappearance; distressed by Tully¡¯s neglect; and involved in a community effort to start a Christian school. Before it is over Paula is thro a deliberately spooked horse and trapped in a burning building. These physical pains cannot match the pain of her broken heart when she learns of Bruces betrayal. And when Bruce tries to rescue her from the fire and is critically injured she must decide whether to forgive Bruce and restore her marriage or leave him and learn to love again with Ike.
