Shadowboxing

This book of poetry was written off the cuff to capture moments seconds situations life as it unfolds in its rawest form. It is about the strength that we all possess the action hero that lives within because life is a gift often a struggle and definitely not promised to anyone. That is why I so strongly believe in the power of community the power of hope. I have worked with our homeless population in Portland Maine for 13 years and run an open mic at the Dogfish Bar and Grille in Portland Maine for 14 years. This poetry is a reflection of the people I meet and the experiences we share knowing full well that we all have our demons. This book off poetry is for the Mud walkers who aren't afraid to get down and dirty and look vulnerability in the eye each and every day.
