Shared Sisterhood

<p>Women are taking strides in gender equality—but not all women. Black women and other women of color are still being held back. This book explains how women can come together to create a Shared Sisterhood based on vulnerability, trust, empathy, and risk-taking, so that <i>all</i> women can rise to the top and overcome gender bias.</p><ul><li>Introduces a new framework for how women—both white women and women of color—can work together to achieve gender equity.</li><li>Provides practical advice to help individuals dig into their own personal biases and use that to bridge and connect with others.</li><li>Unites all women, so it's no longer an individual or organization's job to "fix" inequity; it puts the power in <i>all</i> women's hands.</li><li>Tackles both gender bias and racism in its discussion of what is holding women back and how people can support each other.</li><li>Includes interesting stories and facts from history and present day, alongside everyday examples and personal experiences from the authors.</li></ul><p></p><p>Audience: Primarily women—both white women and women of color. We also anticipate that some leaders in organizations, particularly those in DEI and HR, will be interested in picking this up, as well as male allies.</p>
