About The Book

<p>Shauki language is spoken by Shauka tribe in Johar an area in Tibet border of mid Himalaya. It is a dialect of Hindi just like kumaoni. It's original name was Rangkas which was changed to Suki khuun and ultimately to Suki and then Shauki.&nbsp;</p><p>The dictionary is compiled by Gajendra Singh Pangti with the support of some elderly members of &nbsp;the community. Mr. Pangti a Shauka himself has authored a number of books on history and culture of Shauka community.&nbsp;</p>
