Shea tree has huge economic benefits supporting livelihoods across its value chain especially in African countries producing it. Due to the challenges it faces in the wild conservation models are needed for assessing its risk towards maintaining its biodiversity carbon sinks and storage nutrient cycling soil fertility and improved better yields from agroforestry system. The environmental and health impact of the life cycle analyses of Shea butter processing is still unclear thereby necessitating further research efforts.
