Shoes to Fill

<p>Lay your head down and rest.<br />Those blisters hurt don’t they?<br />“But they’re so beautiful. How could they make me bleed?”<br />She said faintly.<br />I pulled her hair back<br />And tucked it behind her ears.<br />“I know . . .<br />But it is time for you to heal now.<br />Remember darling even red bottoms are painful”<br />I replied.</p><p><em>Shoes to Fill</em> is a collection of poetry about breaking and becoming through love and loss. Every page is hopefully giving a voice to the voiceless and teaching people that sometimes even silence is the best form of healing. We must walk miles in other’s shoes to understand their pain.</p>
