About The Book

Samaylal Viveks poems connect us with those scenes of villages and towns which we are forgetting or which we have lost the spirit of seeing in the disguise of rural development. At the center of Viveks poems are the rural people the laborers who are utterly deprived neglected and utterly backward. There is no difference between Viveks own personality and his poems. Just as he is humble and easy-going his poems also come to us with humility and ease. In his poems there is a deep uneasiness about changes in the economic socio-political system and rural exploitation. Seeing the inequality exploitation around them they get distressed angry at some places. But his anguish his restlessness almost naturally but with full gusto descends in almost every poem without any noise. This enthusiasm also makes the reader restless and distressed somewhere deep inside. They ask that somewhere in the world progress is being made somewhere efforts are being made to reduce inequality so why is it not reaching the underprivileged people near them? He also knows them very well who are keeping this progress and efforts till their own. In his poems he expresses the hope that it is difficult but not impossible to take this system towards inequality and give the deprived-exploited-backward people their due rights.Neeraj Manjeet
