<p><strong>  This is part two of the Maxine Somers Trilogy</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>     </strong>Maxine Somers is the Police Chief of Royal Oaks Minnesota.  This small town is located just outside of Minneapolis Minnesota.  As a Los Angeles transplant she finds the life of rural Minnesota to be quite different and challenging from the life she knew in the big city </p><p>   She barely escaped an assassination attempt by a drug cartel but will she survive her new found friends. Maxine gets involved in the world of Minnesota politics as she tries to recover a valuable Minnesota relic. </p><p>    She also gets some help from some unexpected people as she slowly solves a double murder.  She ultimately discovers new intrigues involving her life and that of her boyfriend.                                             </p>
