Silence - Mauna

<p>I thought of writing this book of poems on &lsquo;Silence&rsquo; because whenever I&rsquo;ve made an attempt to be silent I have felt at peace. The clutter in my mind gets untangled and I gather energy to focus back to the present.</p><p>Being in the moment doesn&rsquo;t come naturally to me. It takes efforts for me to live in the present.</p><p>I wrote some of these poems after meditating; some I wrote in a state of extreme chaos. Silence can stem from an unsettled mind and amidst disturbed surroundings. Being in a state of silence is the realization that we need to slow down. Even though there is noise around we are in a hurry to finish our work and are confused the realization that we have to slow down a bit to reconnect to ourselves is so important to ensure we are doing the right thing.</p>
