Silent Speech Brain-Computer Interface in Japanese

This book contributes to the first attempt to decode silent speeches including consonants in Japanese only from single-trial-scalp-recorded electroencephalograms (EEGs) which would yield more natural and easier-to-do communications means for users differently from the previous Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) with motor imagery. The present SSBCIJ (silent speech BCI in Japanese) enabled us to recognize and discriminate silent janken and season.
