SILVER FINGERS

Life has taken me from the shadows of despair to glimpses of enlightenment. Sometimes I have stepped across the veil between this reality and the next. Many people and spirits have touched my life in amazing ways. The beautiful cadence of Shakespearean Sonnets the graceful simplicity of Haikus and Free Verse accommodate the voice I need to weave the tapestry of my poetry. Being a storyteller on Maui for over 20 years it has been a joy to take children on a journey of the imagination. I love teaching poetry classes to children. Helping them find themselves through poetry encourages them to seek their inner voice so they can follow their dreams and conquer their fears. Writing gives me a tool to deal with the darkness in my past. I have shared my pain joy and faith in this collection. If someone is comforted to know that they are not alone through reading my poetry then in some small measure I have done my job.
