But it is essentially the story of a woman becoming a woman." –Songbird</p><p>Princess Rebecca never expected to agree to an arranged marriage–or to wearing the queen's crown.  But now to secure a peaceful future for the Silver Fairy Tribe she faces what may well prove to be an impossible situation.   She has also agreed to let the Citizen's Council choose her husband from three carefully selected suitors:  Edward an old friend and son of the traitorous Count Bullierd; Alfred the arrogant son of crown-seeking Duchess Beatrice; and Hugh Lawson a Plant Fairy half-prince who already loves Rebecca.</p><p>Peace in the tribe is already coming at a high price but evidence of a pirate build-up complicates matters further requiring cooperation from each of the four tribes against the most cunning blackguard of them all.</p>
