About The Book

The intention of this work is to propose a development plan and illustrate the methodology that has been used for the creation of a reservoir model of an outcrop analog oil reservoir. This includes volume of oil prior to production (STOOIP) as well as productivity of oil (RF).The outcrop for this study is 40km east of Marrakech and near Ait Ourir a town in Morocco which contains siliciclastic and carbonate rocks assumed to be an oil reservoir. During a Fieldtrip in April 2013 geological profiles were taken. The observed area is approximately 1200m wide and 600m long which resulted in 0.72km². The reservoir characterization resulted in a net-to-gross ratio of 34.9% and a pore volume of 57662 m³.The development plan proposed introduces 1 producer und 2 injector wells which results in 31% RF after 20 years of production.
