Sing Lost Soul is a celebration a commemoration an observance an ode. Textured by time and toned by the world this collection lauds life in both its profundity and simplicity. There is familiarity when reading Coppocks poems--a sense of experience or at least a sense of perceiving experience. Like a dream you slip in easily remain awhile and upon waking the realization dawns: Ive been there before or I felt that once long ago. Weaving words to nurture and name the sensibilities of a soul is a poets gift to the world. Sing Lost Soul is such a gift. Karl Coppock grew up in Duluth Minnesota. He loves language travel the outdoors and the occasional soccer match. He has lived in several locations including Chicago and Santa Barbara but he likes his current home in Portland Oregon the best--though hes always up for an adventure with his wife and friend Abby.
