Singapore Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS) As An Asset Class

The development of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) in Singapore has its inception year 1998. Within a span of two decades REITs have become more popular with the investors both domestically and globally. Although REITS operate in capital intensive environments they offer the liquidity and diversification as weel as dividend yield aspects which are attractive to investors. The purpose of this book strives to provide a comprehensive understanding of Singapore REITs. Beginning from the introduction of Singapore REITs overview of the various sectors of S-REITs to understanding REITs rating methodology industry valuation of REITs and eventually doing a comparison of S- REITs index with other asset classes index evaluating the performance of S-REITs and giving recommendations to enhance the transparency of REITs in future. Ultimately the report strives to provide the information for the investors to understand the performance and working mechanism behind S-REITs.
