Singing and the prosody of English

This quantitative correlational research was carried out to determine the relationship between singing and the prosody of English in childrenbetween the ages of 9 and 11 who had just finished the Junior level and had been exposed to singing practice at least for three years. By observing separately the performance of the variables under study we found that there is a direct causal correlation between them since the figures obtained when assessing the variable singing present a direct relationship with the figures obtained when assessing the variable prosody of English. In other words the better the performance in singing the better the English prosody.
