Six Little Bunkers at Aunt Jo's by Laura Lee Hope is a delightful children's novel that follows the adventures of the Bunker family as they visit Aunt Jo in Boston. The story begins with the six Bunker children-Russ Rose Violet Laddie Margy and Mun Bun-leaving their Grandma Bell's home in Maine. Throughout the story the Bunker children display their evolving personalities: Russ is inventive and loves making things Rose is caring and responsible Violet is inquisitive Laddie enjoys riddles and the younger ones Margy and Mun Bun are full of innocent mischief. The narrative captures the essence of childhood curiosity and the joy of family adventures making it an engaging read for young audiences.
