<p>Have you ever felt like you're on an island with no one to understand your pain? We're all fighting wars no one else can see- whether for our kids for love for justice or against the demons that haunt us. This is my story: a tale of dating under a checkered flag wrestling with love and self-acceptance and surviving a motorcycle crash that shattered my spine and nearly ended my life. Through every fall I learned that our strength lies in getting back up facing another day and refusing to quit.
