Sizing the Fire Prevention and Protection Plan

The aim of this study was to verify identify analyse and propose a revision of the Fire Prevention and Combat Plan (PPCI) for the Axel Gomes Building improving the performance of the most critical locations taking into account the existing infrastructure and compliance with the standards in force during the process for issuing the Inspection Certificate from the Minas Gerais Fire Department - AVCB. This analysis was carried out through a case study taking into account the legislation in force (decrees provisional measures legislation technical standards and technical instructions from the Minas Gerais Fire Department) and the current context. Based on the perspective of prevention this work aims to make a contribution by diagnosing and analysing the safety conditions of a multi-family building proposing some interventions that are necessary to improve the safety of this building.
