Skein Of Fates

<p><em>Skein Of Fates </em>is a <strong>science-fantasy steampunk retelling of the Snow White fairytale</strong> but with a major twist or three. The story is set on the planet of Nuetierra a world of violet skies and flying jellyfish. Deanna the young <strong>female protagonist</strong> is a brown-skinned Spanglish-speaking descendant of climate-change refugees from Old Earth. Her stepmother is the dictatorial Alcalde of Nue Bayona against whom a<strong> revolutionary struggle</strong> is raging. The dwarves are descendants of <strong>tribal people</strong> brought from Old Earth once enslaved but now free and fighting against re-enslavement by their former tall folk masters. </p><p><br></p><p>Deanna will become involved in both struggles along with allies she meets on her journey. In the process she also fights to reunite with her childhood sweetheart a young man whose own idealistic dreams for change are soured by a terrorist leader masquerading as a rebel for the people. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Action romance</strong> and a princess who doesn't need a prince to save her all against a <strong>Latin-flavored cultural</strong> backdrop. <em>Skein of Fates </em>is the first in a series guaranteed to keep the reader asking What happens next?. </p>
