Skeletal Expansion

As we know that expansion is one of the methods of gaining space a thorough knowledge about the anatomy of the face individual’s growth and developmental stage along with various appliances and their functions is an important aspect for the correction of maxillary transverse deficiency. Since we don’t expand the normal arches but in constricted arches there is space lost that has to be normalized by means of various appliances and techniques.
