Sketchbook Sand City

<p>SAND CITY is large in tax base small in population. This postage stamp piece of prime real estate sits between the cities of Seaside and Monterey California. Its residential section has always been minute compared to its big box stores and local craftsmen. Over time it has also attracted local artists. For a couple of weeks each year muralists ascend upon these sandy shores and add to this city's urban landscape. For one weekend a year one of Monterey County's most beloved festivals takes over the core of Sand City for its annual West End Celebration.
