Skin Infections

Skin infection is a condition of the skin caused due to bacterial fungal viral or parasitic agents and infestations. It can cause inflammation. Some bacterial skin infections are impetigo cellulitis folliculitis and erysipelas. Fungal skin infection can be either a superficial or a deep infection of the skin nails or hair. Viral skin conditions are generally caused due to two main groups of viruses namely the DNA and RNA types. Parasitic infestations stings and bites are caused by organisms from the phyla Annelida Chordata Cyanobacteria Echinodermata etc. This book contains some pathophysiological studies in the field of skin infections.
