A neoplasm is a form of excessive and abnormal growth of tissue which usually forms a mass called a tumor. Neoplasms can be malignant benign in situ and of unknown nature. Malignant neoplasms are cancers. Skin mole is a benign neoplasm while skin cancer is a malignant neoplasm.
