<p>In a world of sky ships swords and pistols dragons are nothing more than ancient legends banished over the uncrossable Ohm Mountains. But that's about to change. When Captain Alette Marcel of the airship <em>Pridwyn</em> helps an injured man fleeing a giant lizard she assumes the egg in his possession is just that. But when a large ship of unknown design and origin attacks them Alette discovers the unbelievable truth-it's a dragon egg stolen and smuggled over the Ohm.</p><p>Alette should turn it over to the authorities but she fears what the strange ship would do should it catch them again. She'd gladly return it if they'd stop shooting long enough to chat. But they're not the only ones looking for the egg.</p><p>The wealthy businessman who funded the original expedition wants his prize and he'll stop at nothing to get it. When Alette's friends get caught in the crossfire she finds herself on the run not only with a dragon egg but a now orphaned twelve-year-old. Hunted on all sides how will Alette ensure the safety of her crew her ship and prevent an ancient war from reigniting?</p>
