The liberation war was ostensibly waged for the betterment development and peace of the country. However independence saw the segmentation and pauperization of the country. Innocent lives were butchered with impunity. Yet he punched the air in anger and denial and issued threats to the USA ambassador. He was the old self the undisputed boss of the nation. Fear hunger violence and bigotry stalk the land.He dribbled past the unity talks and came out stronger. Citizens abandoned their families fled the country to seek sanity. Did independence mark the ushering in of madness? A malicious mallet pounced on decency and democracy.
