Sliding Into Home

<p><strong>How one woman found the true meaning of home after a childhood of rejection and abuse.</strong></p><p> </p><p>At a very young age Tonya is forced to find strength within herself to survive brutal childhood trauma while facing heart-shattering circumstances.  </p><p><br></p><p>Moving from one foster home to the next she learns to navigate the terrain of a broken foster care system. She finds solace in playing sports fueling her with resilience and compelling her to persevere.</p><p><br></p><p>After aging out of foster care Tonya is thrust into a world of challenges and confronted by shallow judgments and doubts. With unwavering tenacity she fights against the odds to gain custody of her beloved daughter.</p><p><br></p><p>Her struggles and difficult past inspire her to mentor youth through coaching softball and become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) using her past experiences to help children through similar hardships. </p><p><br></p><p>Tonya finds purpose passion and unconditional love. Her story inspires hope encourages faith and reveals the strength we all have within ourselves to break through barriers.</p>
