<p>    John Randle a mid-size county sheriff teams up with Billy Lightwood a Fish and Wildlife officer to investigate farm animal mutilations. They questioned the farmer who shot the creature while it fatally attacked his dogs. Searching the scene they found footprints that are too large to be native animal to their community.</p><p>     A month later a horrific attack on that same farmer and his wife takes place in their home. John and Billy continue researching the predator as the attacks continue. When the State Police take over the investigation the lead detective objects to John's help and he's taken off the case.</p><p>   Things get personal when John's mid-teens daughter Dani sneaks out of the house to go to a bonfire with her boyfriend.
