About The Book
Description
Author
I am writing this book to share my life journey. Hailing from a middle-class family I crossed ways with a multitude of challenges in my early years which shaped me into the dreamer I am today. I also followed the traditional path of working hard in school and landing a good job to pay the bills but I did not find my true passion in my work. I soon discovered that remaining confined to a conventional job would not inch me any closer to my dreams. It felt more like a trap keeping me stuck in a cycle that could extend throughout my entire life. This is my life and I should have the freedom to live it on my own terms without surrendering control to others. It is an incredible feeling when you recognize what is not working in your life and embark on a new journey to improve it—a rebirth of your thoughts isn’t it? Raised in a mediocre family I could relate to the daily struggles experienced by millions caught in the relentless pursuit of survival. As I penned this book I hoped that these individuals would find a connection with my thoughts and experiences realizing that they are not alone on their adventure. My purpose in writing this book would be fulfilled if it could provide that sense of connection and satisfaction. “Slower But Not Over” suggests the idea of proceeding at a reduced pace or taking things more slowly. However we should not come to a complete stop or abandon the task or objective altogether. The phrase is about maintaining a consistent albeit slower progress rather than giving up entirely. Acknowledging our circumstances accepting the realities we face and taking proactive steps to change our lives are the qualities that distinguish the wise and successful from the rest of the crowd. Through this book I aspire to empower young minds mentally morally and ethically helping them decode the true worth of their lives.
