The event of smashing something to pieces is often labelled a disaster or an accident or both but sometimes it takes a life-altering jolt to show us how far we have drifted from ourselves.Soon after her fortieth birthday Rita smashed her elbow followed by her marriage and her faith in everything she was taught life was supposed to be.
