Social capital theory became a phenomenon has discussed from various disciplines. In this sense there is a large volume of published studies investigating the impact of social capital on economic development and economic growth. within the literature in the field of economics. This book discusses previous developments and presents a theoretical framework by introducing social capital is accumulated through participating in social and political activities. In this direction I examine the issue in four different economic systems. The argument of this book is participating in political activities generates positive externalities and attendantly can be a matter for economic growth. Theoretical investigation of this book supports the idea that political participation in terms of possessing political networks at a collective level not only brings social benefits but also fosters economic growth.
