Social responsibility at a federal educational institution

Globalisation has exerted strong pressure on companies to practice social responsibility adopting codes of conduct related to preserving the environment working conditions and respect for human rights. In the current context it is also necessary for the state through educational institutions to foster critical thinking and citizenship generating knowledge in the community that will enable it to understand and face local and global challenges. This book aims to analyse the factors needed to implement social responsibility in a federal educational institution based on the contribution of knowledge management and social learning as a contribution to a culture of social responsibility. The proposed contributions could reduce difficulties in the problem addressed leading to improvements in social processes through greater management efficiency at the institution. This work is intended for researchers students and professionals with an interest in the subject.
