Social Support Systems and Psychosocial Wellbeing of the elderly

This manuscript is timely for Geriatric professionals i.e Doctors Nurses Medical Social Worker and other care professionals. The Study explored the effectiveness of the social support systems vis a vis (companionship support emotional support information access and financial support) on the psychosocial wellbeing of the elderly in Old Peoples homes in Ibadan. The study was supervised by an associate professor at the first University in Nigeria University of Ibadan Ibadan. The writer is a trained and registered medical social worker in Nigeria with special interest in Geriatric Social Care and Memory of Old age.
