Social Work and Institutional Practice

Institutional practice in Social Work is characterized by the set of actions carried out within an institution whether health education justice criminal social assistance etc. Through it theoretical knowledge is applied and the acquired knowledge is reinforced. The practice is a process of self-reflection which becomes the space for conceptualization research and didactic experimentation which is characterized by being singular dynamic and framed in an institutional context. This text shares with the reader the experience carried out in a health area showing the methodological process applied by the social work professional in order to transform realities.
