Higher education is key to educating citizens with knowledge values ethics and social responsibility. Therefore universities must be socially responsible training professionals with integrity committed to the development of the country and social inclusion.The objective of this study was to analyze the practices of linking with the environment in six careers of the Universidad Santo Tomás (UST) Santiago showing the University Social Responsibility (USR) in management teaching research and extension. A literature review on USR and semi-structured interviews were conducted with six participants from the selected careers.The results show that there are linkage practices organized into curricular and extracurricular. The latter allow students to interact with the community advised by the Learning and Service (LS) area and each career develops specific activities according to its academic focus.
