This work reflects the sociocultural economic and environmental reality of animal husbandry in the Municipality of Chimoré Department of Cochabamba Plurinational State of Bolivia. It has an integral and participatory approach and starts with the description of animal husbandry in the Andes as part of life husbandry within the Andean cosmovision. It refers to the historical process of colonization of the Tropic of Cochabamba; in its first instance by Franciscan monks with the purpose of reducing the population together with economic purposes of connection with the tropical region of Moxos; In its second instance by the migratory flow of settlers from the valleys and highlands of Bolivia supported by government colonization programs and animal husbandry initiatives as a survival strategy for families within a new geographic scenario; to finally describe and analyze animal husbandry within the Municipality of Chimoré plus conclusions regarding the socio-cultural economic and environmental effects that influence domestic animal husbandry.
