As faith in progress-a cornerstone of Liberal thought-diminishes particularly in parts of the West stagnation may follow. The erosion of this belief risks undermining the vitality of Liberalism and potentially contributing to societal decline. Whether this trend is more pronounced in the broader English-speaking world outside the US remains debatable.</p>
