Sociolinguistics Study of Code Switching

The study of code switching is potentially the most creative aspect of bilingual speech. The topic has certainly aroused the curiosity of many researchers and a host of different features of it have been studied. Sociolinguists have looked into speech communities both monolingual and bilingual trying to establish reasons for changes of style and language switching. Sociolinguistics Study of Code Switching is concerned with aspects of code switching as a societal phenomenon among bilinguals.
